New In Makeup and Hair Care: Milk Eye Pigments, Unicorn Brushes

Today I thought I’d share some of my favorite new makeup and hair care products. Let’s start with these unicorn brushes! unicorn brushes Tarte came out with an entire limited edition collection of unicorn goodness. I don’t know how the unicorn craze started but I am fully on board- not that anyone had any doubt! I want the Make Believe In Yourself Palette but I decided to treat myself to unicorn brushes (magic wands brush set) because they were something I’ve been wanting for a real long time. I’m actually feeling guilty about my purchase as part of me feels like I’ll never use them because they’re so pretty. But they’re UNICORN BRUSHES! Ugh, the struggle. Ha!

The packaging is so fun and now that I’ve been testing them out the last couple of weeks, I have to say that I’m in love. The smell is absolutely divine and every time I use any of the products, someone always tells me that they love my perfume. And it’s never perfume, it’s just the amazing scent in the hair products.

I think you all know by now that I avoid scented skincare like the plague because it’s not good for the skin. But in hair products? Bring it on! The nourishing mask has been making my dry hair feel so soft and if you have thick/course hair like me, you’d probably love it too. I’ve been using their touchable hairspray for over a year and I’m so glad I tried more from their line! They also have an adorable salon in Williamsburg where I got a perfect blowout for fashion week which you can see here.

Milk sent over these new eye pigments and I’ve been experimenting and testing them out these last few weeks. I really love them because they do.not.budge. They set fast so you have to get used to that but once they set, they’re not going anywhere. milk eye pigmentsHere are some swatched; sorry it’s not the best swatch photo haha, but I wanted you guys to get an idea of the colors and pigmentation. A little goes a long way- you only need the tiniest bit for opaque and beautiful coverage. I’m plannng on trying the purple as an eyeliner, smudged on my lower lash line for a pop of color. Normally shadows don’t last long under my eyes without smudging but I have a feeling this will be the perfect product because they stay on without budging for hours.milk makeup eye pigments swatchesHave you guys picked up anything new in beauty recently?
