I’ve been a huge fan of Paula’s Choice for years so I’m extra excited to be partnering with them today! And before I share my honest opinions with you guys about the products, I wanted to let you know about a pretty sweet deal going on. You can get $10 off your purchase of $40 by using the code PRIMP10: http://primp.in/42GND7rxxr Keep reading for my Paula’s Choice review! You guys know that I’m really picky about what I put on my face. I have combination skin that often gets dry and I unfortunately deal with hormonal acne as well. I’m wary and distrustful of trying new skincare because way too many brands are filled with fragrance and irrititating ingredients and the last thing I want to do is cause more breakouts or irritate my skin. It’s funny that people will still buy into fancy packaging or a nice smell, even when the product does absolutely nothing for your skin! Just because something is pricey and smells pretty, it does not mean it’s actually good for you.
Paula’s Choice thankfully avoids all fragrance and loads up their skincare products with antioxidants and ingredients that are amazing for you. If I want to smell something nice, I can light a candle or use perfume! They have amazing options for all skin types and I honestly find them to be one of the best skincare brands out there because their products are backed by research. The prices are really reasonable as well; especially for the quality you get.
I was given the Resist Anti Aging line to try which I love because they’re all filled with beneficial ingredients to improve signs of aging such as fine lines (I’m starting to get them on my forehead- help!),wrinkles, and loss of firmness. I think it’s always a good idea to start using these kinds of products as early as possible. The anti aging products I got are geared toward normal to combination/oily skin.
I definitely see how this line is perfect for combination/oily skin as the textures are really lightweight and the moisturizer is gel-like. I personally will need products that are more moisturizing as my presciption acne cream dries my skin out so I’ll be looking into trying those next. They have a whole bunch of moisturizers that are geared toward dry skin so I will definitely try those next in conjunction with the rest of the products I have.
I’ve always wanted to try a Vitamin C product because the research shows it’s amazing at brightening the skin, shielding skin from pollution, and improving hydration among many other things. So I was really excited to receive the Resist C15 Super Booster which I’ve been adding to my moisturizer along with the RESIST 10% Niacinamide Booster which decreases pores and also helps with aging.
And Paula’s Choice makes some of the best exfoliants around. So many brands have AHA and BHA products with the wrong PH levels that render them completely useless and ineffective. Obviously, the Paula’s Choice team knows what they’re doing when it comes to proper formulation of exfoliants so I’d definitely recommend checking them out. I’ve been loving my BHA products! Have you tried any products from Paula’s Choice before? If so, what are your thoughts?
