Cobalt Blue Cold Shoulder Dress

brooklyn street artBefore picking up this blue cold shoulder dress, I avoided the cold shoulder trend like the plague. And if you’re curious as to why I’ve avoided cold shoulder pieces when they’ve been absolutely everywhere, it’s mainly due to the fact that strapless bras have just freaked me out. I didn’t believe I could find one that would do the trick… if you know what I mean. Well, I took one look at this cold shoulder trapeze dress and fell in love with it! And I decided that it was time to buy my very first strapless bra.

It turns out that in 2017 they have pretty decent options for sizes D+. If you’re curious as to which one I picked up, I got the Fantasie strapless bra at my favorite lingerie shop in Brooklyn, Inspirations Lingerie. At first I thought there was no way it would stay in place but I wore it all day and I was just fine! My bras with straps are definitely more comfortable but this was pretty darn decent.

I now feel confident enough to rock this pretty blue cold shoulder dress around town! My dress comes in three other colors (all on sale!) and I’m contemplating the pretty blush shade too.

And how fun is this colorful backdrop? I first discovered it last year but for some reason never made it there. I finally dragged Kelly to this spot in Brookyn and I’m pretty sure it’s the best decision I’ve made in a while. 🙂

You can see the only other cold shoulder top I’ve worn in my life here.
