I am obsessed with my two new pieces of jewelry from Brooklyn Designs; these gorgeous gold earrings go with everything and I’ve worn them pretty much every day since I got them! And this turquoise pendant necklace might be my favorite piece from the entire website. It was actually worn on TV a couple weeks ago on the show “Baby Daddy.” And I’m so excited to give one away to one of my readers! It retails for $125 and sits on a 14kt gold filled chain and is absolutely stunning. Scroll down to the bottom of the post to enter this giveaway.
And you guys, as much as I want to love these amazing orange loafers, let’s be real; they look absolutely hideous on my short frame. I thought they were so cool and they are… just not on me! Once in a while, I’ll wear something not ideal for my body type because I love the style but I usually regret it. Oh well, lesson learned. Is there a style you love that doesn’t work for your body type?Let me know in the comments!
I know I’m not the only one with fingers crossed hoping that the warmer weather is here to stay! I wish I could’ve shot this outfit at a beach but this is actually shot inside the Apple store in Soho. It was during the snowstorm when I also shot this look and then discovered the blank wall inside the Apple store so Kelly and I just went for it! 🙂 The security guard was quite amused but totally ok with it so we ended up shooting two more looks there and I cannot begin to describe the happiness I felt at being WARM. 🙂
But this dress from Viva La Jewels is making me crave warmer weather even more. I love the boho vibe and easy, relaxed fit. And don’t get me started on my newest Leslie Francesca jewels. How gorgeous are they??? It was the happiest mail day when I discovered all these gorgeous pieces at my front door. And I thought I’d keep up with the giveaway theme happening on my blog this week and I’m excited to team up with BOTH Lesie Francesca and Viva La Jewels to give one of you a chance to win this dress in black as well as a fun assortment of jewelry! Just follow me on instagram because the giveaway will be there. 😉 Good luck!
No, that’s not dandruff in my hair. Just snow… again. 😉 I am so glad I didn’t cancel the photoshoot when I saw the weather because Kelly got so many great shots of my beautiful new jewels from Wrenn Jewelry. And sometimes it’s fun to play in the snow! But the constant snow is getting a little old (and cold) and warmer weather would be reallyyyyy nice!
I am obsessed with my new gorgeous jewels thanks to Lydell NYC. And I am so excited that they’re offering 30% off for my readers this entire weekend with code Shira30! The blue tonal statement necklace that I’m wearing here is one of my favorite pieces and while I’m not usually one for being matchy-matchy, the coordinating blue tonal drop earrings are beautiful and so well priced, even before the 30% off! And Real Simple magazine agreed because they featured them last Spring. I love Lydell NYC’s mix of jewelry because there is something for everyone; from edgy and trendy to more understated and minimal to bold and colorful. Some of my favorites include these cool gold triangle ear jackets, this fun multi-media statement necklace, and this adorable gold cat ears ring. Happy shopping! 🙂
This Trina Turk skirt is a new favorite of mine. I always love Trina Turk’s gorgeous colors and prints and her latest spring pieces are as vibrant and beautiful as ever! I think this outfit will be perfect for transitioning into spring so I’m hoping warmer weather comes our way really soon.
Speaking of weather…. I was waiting for the bus for more than 35 minutes in the freezing cold on Monday morning; I literally couldn’t feel my fingers and I was so cold that it hurt. Apparently, a woman had seen me on her way to run an errand and then recognized me again when she passed the bus stop 35 minutes later and insisted on driving me to work. She wasn’t headed in that direction at all and I told her not to worry but she said she would be happy to drive me and drove me to the door. It’s always so nice to come across kindness like that!
