Ombré Blues!

I don’t often have luck at sample sales. Mainly it’s because I end up buying something because omg it’s such a good deal… and I never end up wearing it. It’s easy to get swept up into the whole sale frenzy and then you get home and realize the bag you bought is too small for you or the dress just doesn’t fit right. But I’ve gotten better at sample sale shopping and found some beautiful pieces at the Shoshanna sample sale a couple of months ago. This dress was an actual sample and not an overstock so I was excited that it fit perfectly and the shades of blue are so gorgeous!

This H.M. Willow tassel necklace is beautiful and well priced. Haley just keeps coming out with more and more unique jewels; just when I think they can’t get more gorgeous, she designs another beautiful piece! (I’ve worn her jewelry with my polka dot tulle, beaded scalloped dress, and graphic tee.) This necklace came just a couple days after I bought this dress and I knew I need to pair the two together. Make sure to disable your ad block if you want to see some beautiful blue dress options at the bottom of the post.

Looking Back, Part Two

And here are some more photos taken over the last year. I stepped out of my comfort zone here and there but I think my style has pretty much been consistent over the year! What do you think? The one thing that did change was that I started wearing heels a whole lot more often. Before I started my blog, I wore flats 99.9% of the time and now I wear flats 80% of the time and my heel collection has grown… a lot. 🙂 But other than that, I’m still girly, colorful, but classic- I think! Ha, it’s hard for me to know how to define my personal style. But here it is in a series of photos. 🙂brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.com SONY DSC SONY DSC Brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.com Brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.com stripedmidi A Sequin Love Affair SONY DSC SONY DSC brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.comIMG_4610 SONY DSC brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.com brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.com brittanny Taylor Photography // brittannytaylor.com SONY DSC SONY DSC

Looking Back…

I wasn’t planning on doing a recap post of 2014 but I’m glad I decided to because I found the process really uplifting. It’s been a rough few months for me, so taking a few moments to reflect on the past year and remember the wonderful memories was nice. Here’s part one of just some of my favorite looks over the year. Hope you enjoy!

Winter Mint

Mint green is my happy color so this cozy, oversized sweater was totally calling my name. I thought it would work really well with my new jewels from JES Design Studio. I love all of Julie’s gorgeous handmade jewelry in her Etsy shop! And omg, I’m so mad at myself for opening the packaging beforehand because I wanted to get photos of it. Julie wraps and packages the jewels so beautifully so if you’re buying someone her jewelry as a gift, the presentation is just as amazing as the jewels inside. 🙂 I love that the amethyst slice pendant has stone beading on one side of the chain. It makes it more unique and adds more color which I love. And the druzy bracelet and earrings speak for themselves. I’m really loving her latest pieces!

Wrenn Jewelry Giveaway

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, then you have seen me wearing Wrenn Jewelry jewels. And if you have been following my instagram, then you are even more likely to be familiar with Wrenn Jewelry as I’m always posting fun manicures with my Wrenn Jewelry druzy rings. Alissa of Wrenn Jewelry is a huge inspiration to me; she is battling Non-Hodgkin’s Follicular Lymphoma and Crohn’s Disease all while still being an amazing mother and jewelry maker. I’m so glad she is now a part of my life and that I get to work with her and feature her beautiful jewelry on a regular basis. And I’m so excited that she’s offering a giveaway for my readers- just in time for the holidays! Alissa uses only high quality gold filled or sterling silver metals so even if you have sensitive skin like I do, you should be able to wear her jewelry. Here’s just a small roundup of some of my favorite photos with my Wrenn Jewelry, mostly by Brittanny Taylor with a couple of my own nail selfies from instagram. 🙂 Fill out the rafflecopter form at the bottom of the post to win a $35 gift card to her store (which would cover any ring of your choice or a necklace, bracelet, earrings…  whatever you’d prefer!). SONY DSC SONY DSC A Sequin Love Affair A Sequin Love Affair SONY DSC IMG_6238 nail12 nail5 A Sequin Love Affair nail11 nail14 SONY DSC
