I’ve always liked oxfords (well, that’s a lie…they’ve slowly grown on me) but never felt comfortable wearing them because they just didn’t feel like “me.” I always felt like I was pretending to be someone else in them. I’m more of a ballet flats girl if you haven’t noticed. 😉 But I saw these on sale in Anthropologie a few weeks ago and took the plunge into the oxford world. Ha ha, I’m SO not a drama queen, huh? I love these though and I haven’t regretted them! How do you all feel about oxfords? A do or don’t?
I’m tired of the hands on hip poses but I’m also completely awkward in front of the camera….
So we tried a casual walking “pose”… Still awkward?
And then we tried it again. It got a bit more awkward when a school bus passed and a little boy (about 7 or 8) shouted out, “Pretty outfit! And on a pretty girl!” Sigh; I always get the really young ones or the really old ones. 🙂
Then we tried a “leaning against a dirty wall” pose. It’s ok but what is up with my hair looking like it’s two different lengths? And about the random wire and garbage; well, welcome to Brooklyn.
And finally….we have this gem. What’s going on? I have no idea. But I like it. A lot.
I love a good print mix and this is the first of many to come on my blog. 🙂 Print mixing can look messy and confusing when done wrong but when the prints compliment each other, a good print mix can be fun and interesting! I can’t resist a good polka dot print and this outfit feels fun and cheerful to me. How do you feel about print mixing? A do or don’t?
