Rockin’ The Monochrome Trend

Hello lovely readers! How do you feel about the monochrome trend? Would you rock it? If I do this again, I’d do it in mint, because my personal philosophy (hehe) about mint is that you can never have enough of that color! I like this color too and I felt all bright and summery in it. 🙂

A Rainy Day Outfit

Rain and humidity make for a pretty gross combination, huh? I couldn’t figure out what to wear so I went for a basic white shirt and denim and added bold accessories to cheer up my outfit. How amazing is my RM bag? This is the other one I got at the sample sale a few weeks ago (I shared the first beauty here).

5 Ways To Wear A Statement Necklace

The statement necklace. It can make a simple outfit pop! It’s such an easy way to make your outfit look cohesive and thought out when really, all you’re doing is throwing on a necklace. A white tee and denim or a solid blouse with a pencil skirt or slacks are great times to put on a statement piece. Your outfit doesn’t have to be simple though; you can still wear it when wearing bright bold colors and interesting textures like I did here. Or of course with an LBD like I did here. And you really don’t have to spend a lot of money. All these pieces were really affordable, the cheapest being about $15 and the most expensive being $79.
This pink and rose gold beauty is by Jenn from EllandEmm.

This is me trying to be attractive. Justttttt kidding, I’m just bored of half smiling in all the necklace photos and trying to entertain Chani as she snaps picture after picture. Cool necklace, huh? This piece is from Banana Republic and while I don’t see it online at the moment, this one is also pretty.

Another lovely expression from yours truly. On a random note, has anyone noticed that I now sign off as “Your Sequin Admirer” ? At a big Friday night dinner at my house last week, one of our guests came up with that one. 🙂 Oh and this green beauty is from Anthropologie, on sale.
Recently got this fun coral and turquoise necklace (perfect color combo!) from Bauble Bar’s friend and family sale. Check out their big selection of affordable statement necklaces here.
Meet the new love of my life. Obsesseddddd with this beauty from The Yellow Door. And it was well priced too! You might be seeing this one a lot in the future. 🙂
This sweet necklace is from Dream Big Jewelry by Dasi. She seriously has the most affordable pieces.
Show me your statement necklaces! Or the ones you plan to get after reading this post. 🙂

Flirty Florals

If I could take the entire Madewell store home with me, I would. Their prints, colors, and styles are right up my alley. I’ve never regretted a purchase from them. And NO, unfortunately this is not a sponsored post. 😉 Maybe one day….then I’ll know I made it! I fell in love with this floral print at Madewell and a few weeks ago it was on sale with additional 30% off so I grabbed it!

3 Ways To Dress Up The LBD (Little Black Dress)

I’m totally down for a pretty, black dress; especially when there is lace on it! But black dresses can easily fade into the background so sometimes it can be fun to add some pop to them. Plus, having such a simple backdrop makes it easy to add fun accessories and if you struggle with putting outfits together, an LBD is the perfect place to start. Please know that your clutch and shoes do NOT have to match and in fact it can be too “matchy matchy.” My clutch was more of a sage green color but it photographed differently. If you don’t love color, you can do a metallic or textured clutch to make your look more interesting. Dress up your LBD in a way that’s fun for you!
