When I saw Maya Hayuk’s mural at the Bowery and Houston wall, I knew I needed to do a shoot there. And so did the rest of the world because a half hour after my shoot, I saw Jenna Lyons shooting there and you better believe I stood there and waited until she finished so I could beg her for a photo (she agreed as long as she got to edit and pick the filter which she did and you can see the photo here on my instagram).
Of course I had to plan my outfit to go with the mural (duh, totally normal) and I chose my Cynthia Steffe dress for this shoot. Yes, another Cynthia Steffe dress that I fell in love with (my other favorites I wore on the blog are this aqua lace dress and this peacock print dress)! I adore the turquoise beaded detailing on the all white shift dress although I must admit that I haven’t worn this dress out for fear of getting it dirty. Also, it hasn’t exactly been feeling like spring yet in New York other than a few beautiful days. But I must admit that white scares me because as you already have heard me say, I’m kind of a slob. But the dress is so pretty so sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Sacrifices such as not moving, breathing, eating, sitting, or going near my little siblings while wearing this dress. 🙂
