I like to dress up and wear a killer pair of heels every so often but a few days into NYFW and it was getting tiring. Not to mention the fact that I had a minor foot injury and I really needed to not be in agony all day! So towards the end of fashion week I decided I just needed to comfortable and give my feet a break. I wore an easy, oversized polka dot dress with red bow loafers. I may not have looked particularly stylish or fashion forward but it felt really great to just feel like “me” if that makes any sense.
My favorite part of fashion week was hands down Christian Siriano’s show. I posted to my instagram stories which is long gone now but I shared a quick recap on my facebook page here. Christian is an amazing supporter of NEDA and I had the opportunity to attend with my boss and NEDA founder + eating disorder specialist, Sondra Kronberg. I love that Christian was one of the first designers to include a range of body types on the runway and of course he continued to do it this season too. His show makes me feel hopeful that body diversity can one day be something we see regularly on the runway.
My dream is that one day Christian will design my wedding gown- which I told him when I met him afterward. 🙂 That’s my fantasy!
Michelle snapped some photos of Belle and I in between meetings and events. How adorable does Belle look? I want her boots so bad!
