Gingham Tie Front Shirt at Redondo Beach

circle bagI’m honored to be teaming up with Express again today and decided to share one of my go-to casual weekend looks. I paired this gingham tie front shirt (get it here) with white denim and espadrille wedges. I would nottt recommend a pencil skirt if you’re planning on going for a bike ride on the beach (#fail) but I like this outfit for most other activities! 🙂

This gingham tie front shirt runs pretty roomy so I recommend sizing down if you’re interested in purchasing it. It’s really comfortable and I love balancing it with a more fitted bottom so that it doesn’t overwhelm my petite frame. Someone already decided to enlighten me on instagram- she let me know that as a petite woman I shouldn’t be wearing oversized clothes but I don’t like getting caught up in what might be stereotypically “flattering.” I’m pretty sure we all know that “flattering” is code for “slimming,” and like I’ve mentioned in the past, my goal in life is not about trying to look my skinniest. Flowy clothes feel way more comfortable to me than more fitted pieces and I’m all about that comfortable life!

I mentioned in my last post that Express is now carrying up to size 18 in most of their stores which is such an important step. I aso noticed that they have been posting curve models on their website which has been really refreshing to see!

If you mention the code 4282, you can get $25 off your purchase of $100 in store until 9/30/18 (T&C).
