Embellished Blush Gown

I was so grateful to find a photographer when I was in Los Angeles for Passover. It was still cold in New York so shooting in beautiful weather was such a treat. After meeting my photographer for our first shoot, she shared some photos of her adorable dog and we planned a second photo shoot so I could sneak her dog in for some photos. When I went to her house, she showed me the blush gown she wore for a family wedding and we decided on the spur of the moment to shoot it because it’s so gorgeous! I wish I own this but hey, at least I have the photos. 🙂 I linked to this dress in the slideshow at the bottom of the post but there’s only a couple left so I linked to more options as well; disable your adblock if you want to view them.aSequinLoveAffair-5 aSequinLoveAffair-8 aSequinLoveAffair-9

Blue Floral Midi Dress

Midi dresses don’t always work for shorties like me but when I saw this floral midi dress, I loved it so much and decided to try it anyway, especially with the reasonable price tag of $76 (with 25% off during a flash sale). The dress was almost at my ankles so I brought it to my seamstress to get it hemmed and she actually used some of the material from the bottom of the dress to make the sleeves a little longer. It probably wasn’t the best idea but I wanted the dress to be modest enough for religious family events. It’s definitely more convenient when dresses come in petite sizing but when you know a good (and inexpensive) seamstress, it’s not the biggest deal to tailor it. Do you guys think I killed it by adding to the sleeve?

Blush Organza Dress

IMG_0756

IMG_0760After becoming an instant Ora Delphine fan when my navy bucket bag arrived (see me with my Ora Delphine bucket bag here and it’s now on sale!!), I was really happy to add this harlowe satchel to my collection. I’ve been wanting a blush colored bag for a while but was scared of getting such a light shade because I’m a total slob. 😉 But I’m glad I decided to go with this color because it’s beautiful and works really well with this blush dress and will be perfect all spring and summer long!

IMG_0797If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you may have noticed that my jewelry is pretty much all gold 99% off the time. I’m just not a silver jewelry kind of girl… unless it involves Judith Jack jewelry! She is the one and only jewelry designer who has converted me over to silver. My skin gets really sensitive to most metals but her jewelry is all high quality sterling silver and I haven’t had any issues with her pieces. She is known for her use of marcasite which she does so gorgeously. I love that the jewelry is really reasonably priced too! As you can see she does amazing delicate layering pieces as well as standout statement jewelry and I love both equally. Her delicate pendant necklaces are actually reversible; marcasite on one side and crystal on the other. Scroll to the bottom to get exact links to all the jewelry I’m wearing.

Coral Lace Dress

I fell in love with this coral lace dress from Teri Jon from the moment I spotted it online and it’s just as gorgeous in person. The color is beautiful, the embellished belt is a gorgeous touch, and I also love the scalloped hemline. I wore it while in LA on Passover and got so many compliments on it. It also comes in a dusty pink, navy, black, and royal blue. I was debating on the navy but I’m glad I went with this vibrant “watermelon” pink. It’s so fun!lace dressWhen I met my photographer’s dog, I couldn’t resist sneaking him in for some photos. He’s a Pekingese and the cutest little thing!

Pastels For Spring

I know I did this color combination last week but I just feel good in mint, turquoise, and purple! This pretty pastel dress is in honor of the upcoming holiday; I’ll be celebrating Pesach this week with my family. I’m excited to spend some quality time with my little siblings! Well, we’ll see how I feel after a week with the family but for now I’m looking forward to it. 😉
