This striped dress might not be the most flattering but it’s really comfortable and has sequins on it (hard to see in the photos) so the tradeoff was worth it for me! I just live for loose fitted dresses in the summer and this was on sale soooooo….. ’nuff said. Ha ha!
How cool is this glass house thing? I know, I’m so eloquent right now but I don’t know how else to describe it. I love finding cool backdrops throughout Brooklyn and NYC to keep my photo shoots creative and interesting (I try!!) and this art piece in Dumbo is amazing. There was a tourist couple who crawled inside through a spot where there was broken glass and proceeded to dance and scream inside for about 15-20 minutes. Finally, I politely asked them if they didn’t mind leaving so I could take a few photos. Ha it was uncomfortable but I mean, I did wait a while but they just weren’t leaving! #awkwardThis was another score at the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale. It was a true sample, actually featured in Lucky magazine but never went into production and I am OBSESSED with the print and bucket style! I won’t tell you how much I paid for it because you might hate me. 😉
Did we establish that color is always a good idea? 🙂 I experimented wearing every color in the rainbow in this post and here I paired a bright red with mint and I think I like how it turned out. I won a gift card to Banana Republic a couple months ago and picked up this mint green crossbody. I love the fun shape and although I usually use bigger bags, it’s great to have the option to go smaller.
I definitely found my dream jacket! I was at my friend Lizzie’s house (owner of Bandits of Colour) and I was casually looking through her new arrivals when I came across this teal sequin jacket and it OBVIOUSLY came home with me! There was no way I was leaving it behind. Of course now that it’s freezing again in New York, I was actually able to wear it. And here I thought I was going to have to wait until fall/winter to debut this beauty. But hey, if it’s cold and rainy outside, sequins are the best way to cheer up! Well, sequins… and froyo and coffee. 🙂
I’ve been wearing this floral pencil skirt a lot (see it styled differently here) and it’s a great piece to have for spring and summer. It works at the office but can also be dressed up which I appreciate. I’ve been trying so hard to keep my this ballet slipper bag from Ora Delphine clean and while I haven’t succeeded 100%, it’s been surprisingly easy to clean so it still looks amazing!
Anyone have any fun weekend plans? The weekend cannot come soon enough!
Here is the second outfit from my trip to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Kelly and I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful tulips in every color you can imagine! And of course, more cherry blossoms! They are so beautiful but are gone so fast so I think we definitely took advantage of cherry blossom season this spring. I don’t remember them ever being so vibrant and beautiful!
